The Kennel Club Code of Conduct was developed in order to set out the Kennel Club's expectations for all those taking part in or attending events under its jurisdiction. It is designed to ensure the good name and reputation of clubs like the Isle of Wight Gundog Club and it's members are maintained. However this can only be accomplished if every member takes personal responsibility for maintaining and abiding by the Code.
Members should bear in mind that a Code of Conduct is more than a set of rules; it is a commitment to a high standard of practice and that adherence to the spirit of the Code is as important as adherence to its law. Above all, it should reinforce our dedication to our dogs and demonstrate that our practices and behaviors result in a positive public perception of the Isle of Wight Gundog Club and it's members.
The Code of Conduct was formally adopted at the Club's AGM in 2014 and will remain in effect until further notice.
Rules of the club can be downloaded from this site.
